Victorian Day

Last Thursday 10th December, Oak Class went back in time into a Victorian classroom! They adopted Victorian names for the day and were immersed into the full Victorian school experience, including, strict classroom rules, handwriting, arithmetic, lots of repetition and, of course, it wouldn’t be a Victorian classroom without the punishments!  The children were amazing and threw themselves into the role of Victorian schoolchildren, making it realistic and they achieved a real sense of what it would have been like in the Victorian era.  Their costumes were brilliant, so a big thank you to the parents.
