Beech Y2 & Y3
Welcome to Beech Class!
On this page you will find our class Topic Web, spellings overviews and more important information. Each week the children bring home a list of spellings. Try to practice them as often as you can. Please remember to bring spelling books into school alongside reading books and reading records daily. Children in Beech Class can also bring in their own home or library book to read during quiet reading time.
In Beech Class at the moment, we are reading Ariki and the Island of Wonders.
Below, you will find a link to the Year 2 and Year 3 common exception words. This is a list of words that we use regularly in our writing but are more difficult to spell as they may not follow common spelling rules. If you have the opportunity to use these in writing at home please do! Remember to keep reading regularly and to practice spellings and times tables at home. All children have access to Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rockstars and these are a brilliant way to practice times tables and spellings at home.
Please check the school newsletter for any important information and dates each week!
We are currently in the Summer term of 2023 and our topic is Safer Together. We will be learning about how people all around the world stay safe, today and throughout history. Check out our Topic Web to see what we will be learning about this term.
Mrs Robson
We had a great time watching the BBC's Big Schools' Winterwatch. We went out on our own bird hunt in the playground before creating our own watercolour bird artwork.
